Belarus to export 250,000 tonnes potash fertilisers to Indonesia
Belarus is expected to supply 250,000 tonnes of potash fertilisers to Indonesia this year.
The agreement was reached during a visit of the Belarusian delegation to Indonesia, First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko told media on March 19.
The sides concluded a three-year framework contract on the delivery of potash fertilisers to Indonesia. At the same time Belarus and Indonesia are still in talks over the prices. According to Vladimir Semashko, the sum can reach US$107 million this year.
"We believe it is only the beginning. Potash fertilisers are in demand in Indonesia. We offer the product which is competitive in price and is among the world's best in quality," the Belarusian official said.
Vladimir Semashko noted that Belarus exported 6.7 million tonnes of fertilisers last year. "We have the capacity to produce up to 10.5 million tonnes of potash fertilisers. We are very much interested in such markets as Indonesia," he added.
